Question: My sister and I were trying to watch a movie, and we turned the VCR on. We clicked eject to take the tape out (we haven't watched anything since December). However, when we went to put a new tape in it won't go in all the way. About half an inch or so sticks out and we don't want to break anything by forcing the tape in. What should we do about this? Any idea what is wrong? A tape couldn't be stuck in there since right before we tried to put the new tape in we ejected a tape OUT, and it was the last movie we watched using the VCR.
Answer: the mechanism that brings down the movie into the vcr playing heads is probably stuck. try pushing eject a couple of times without any movie inside the vcr. Also try unplugging the vcr power source. Wait for a few seconds and plug in again.
